LeBron Raymone James (pronounced /ləˈbrɒn/; born December 30, 1984) is an American professional basketball player for the Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Nicknamed "King James", he was a three-time "Mr. Basketball" of Ohio in high school, and was highly promoted in the national media as a future NBA superstar while a sophomore at St. Vincent – St. Mary High School. He was selected with the number one pick in the 2003 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers and signed a shoe contract with Nike before his professional debut. Listed as a small forward, James has set numerous youngest player records since joining the league. He was named the NBA Rookie of the Year in 2003–04, was named the NBA Most Valuable Player in 2008–09 and 2009–10, and has been both an All-NBA selection and an All-Star every season since 2005. In 2010, a much-publicized free agency process ended with James signing with the Miami Heat. He became the third reigning NBA MVP to change teams and the first since Moses Malone in 1982
Javier Zanetti
Javier Adelmar Zanetti (born 10 August 1973 in Dock Sud, Buenos Aires Province) is an Argentine footballer who plays for Serie A club Internazionale. Javier Zanetti has played for Inter since 1995, taking the captain's armband in 1999. Known for his versatility, he is adept on both the left and right wing, having played on both flanks as a fullback as well as a winger. He slots into several midfield positions with ease, particularly as a defensive or central midfielder. Internationally, he holds the record of the most capped player in the history of the Argentine national team and has played in the 1996 Olympic tournament and in two World Cups, in 1998 and 2002.

Petkovšek eden izmed favoritov na EP

Najbolj izkušeni član slovenske gimnastične vrste Mitja Petkovšek je z odliko opravil zadnji preizkus pred evropskim prvenstvom, ki bo od danes do nedelje v Montpellierju. Na svetovnem pokalu v Osijeku je slavil zmago; na vseh tekmah, kjer je letos nastopil, pa je bil na stopničkah: dvakrat prvi in enkrat drugi. Na EP bo spet eden od favoritov.

Štajerski obračun na sovražnikovih tleh

Danes se bo s finalnim srečanjem Pokala Hervis v ljubljanskih Stožicah končala nogometna sezona na Slovenskem. Na našem največjem športnem objektu, ki je sicer dom ljubljanske Olimpije, se bosta za prestižno lovoriko pomerila štajerska rivala Maribor in Celje.

Los Angeles Kings Anžeta Kopitarja so prvi finalist Lige NHL. Kralji so na peti tekmi finala zahodne konference v gosteh po podaljšku premagali Phoenix Coyotes s 4:3 in s skupnim izidom 4:1 v zmagah vpisali največji uspeh po letu 1993. Takrat so kralji v finalu NHL izgubili z Montrealom.

Košarkarji Miami Heat so na peti tekmi konferenčnega polfinala s 115:83 premagali Indiana Pacers. Pri domačinih je bil s 30 točkami najučinkovitejši Lebron James, Dwyane Wade jih je dodal 28. Igralci Miami Heat so zadeli kar 61,4 odstotkov vseh metov med tem, ko so igralci Indiane zadeli le 33,7 odstotno.
